Hello, people of The Anime Realm community. It’s been a while since I stopped watching anime, but recently I felt motivated to start again. Recently, I watched Kamisama Kiss—it’s an amazing anime. If you are looking for proper romance, then this anime is going to fulfill your interests. At first, I thought I would not like it, but eventually, I ended up liking it because the plot, the storyline, and the voice actors are so good that I could not stop watching the episodes. Each and every episode made me curious to watch the next one; I was so desperate to finish it. Season 1 was an overwhelming ride.

This is the trailer that I found on YouTube. There’s nothing much there, but trust me, you don’t need a trailer to watch this anime. By reading my review, you can already get a better view of it. Actually, I don’t know the reasons why there isn’t any proper trailer for this anime—maybe because it’s old and not available on YouTube, and that could be a valid reason. Anyway, I didn’t watch it after seeing any trailers; I watched it because I was in search of romance-related animes, and that’s how I found this one, which was really interesting. Primarily it is a shoujo anime. By the trailer you can already guess how gorgeous is the male lead.

Plot

The story revolves around a young high school girl who's name is Nanami Momozono. She is a cheerful and kind girl by nature was leading a peaceful life. But one day her dad abandoned her because of the debt which made her homeless. That day she ends up sitting in a park, meanwhile a man arrived he was scared of dogs and the dogs were barking at him Nanami saw that and helped that man by chasing away the dogs. That man was called Mikage, he started to have a conversation with her, Mikage knew her situation from the beginning and he offered her to stay at his place as he was not going to to live there anymore. Before leaving he kisses her forehead and gives her a guidance to his home, later it is discovered that the place Mikage was talking about is a shrine.

The kiss was a blessing for Nanami. When she arrived she was welcomed by a fox spirit who's name is Tomoe and there were strange looking two minions, their name is Onikiri and Kotetsu. Nanami was in shock to find out that Mikage was a real god of the shrine, he had left long ago and Tomoe was his familiar. That blessing means that Nanami is now the god of the shrine. Nanami now has the responsibility to maintain and listen to the prayers. But Tomoe sees her as a mere human being. He rejects to serve her. Later on Nanami's life was at risk but Tomoe was not eager to save her because they had no connection. But they can seal a contract by kissing on the lips by that Tomoe will become her familiar and has to protect her at any cost. It happened eventually and Tomoe became Nanami's Familiar. Not only Tomoe but there are many other male spirits who fell for Nanami. Nanami's journey begins as a responsible person for being a God of the shrine.

Review

This anime made me went through tons of emotions, which I can not describe in words. I will keep re-watching this incredible anime to relive these emotions! Well, still now I feel my heart so overwhelm by this anime. All of the characters were soo well written except few side characters who were there just as fillers. It is enjoyable, funny and has very unique characters. This anime will definitely blow your mind. You can enjoy each and every episode knowing that there is not a single predictable episodes. To be honest this anime will always hold a special place in my heart. I have hardly seen this good amount of romance in any anime. Sometimes I get amazed by the writers thought because how can they think of such master piece.

It is not a reverse gender harem because the female lead is only interested in the male lead, she only sees others as her friend or you can say family. So, I hope you guys won't confuse it with reverse harem. The voice acting is great and the storyline is interesting. Also the characters are memorable. I have finished season 1 within a day because I could not resist myself from watching more and more episodes. Even though 13 episodes may not seem a lot to others but I have many other works besides watching anime so I don't always have enough time for it but this anime got me linked to it. I highly recommend everyone to watch this anime by yourself do not listen to others just look for yourself. I will rate it 10 out of 10 and if it was possible I would give it a 100.
