Tokyo Revengers: Gang Wars, Time Travel, and Tears - Review

A guy who is often seen less by others and has no stable life. He regrets about his past and the life he was leading it was terrible because of the past decisions. He even lost his girl friend due to an accident.

One day he was pushed into the metro line but luckily who got into time travel and travelled back in time when he was part of a small gang made by his group of friends which is 12 years ago. But they were not strong enough they were often bullied by the other gang members.

The name of our protagonist is Takemichi Hanagaki, he is clueless about the time travel. At first he could not believe it unless he saw his dead girlfriend alive.

He was still in relationship with his girlfriend Hinata Tachibana, when he saw her, he decided to protect her from the future events where she died. But when he Shaked hand with her younger brother Naoto, he returned back in the future.

When he woke up he saw Naoto, he was shocked to see how tall he is because in the past he was a young boy. Naoto explains Takemichi about time travel and he got to know about it through him.

Both of them makes plan to save Hinata from dying. Takemichi can travel in time only with handshake with Naoto. Hinata's death was cashed by an incident because of the "Tokyo Manji Gang" they are the biggest gang in Tokyo.

Takemichi now plans to join this gang in the past time and tries to change the past to save his lover in the future. Each time he changes something in the past and again travels back in the future to see the results. The question lingers can Takemichi save Hinata from her death? Is she the only one he needs to save?

When I first watched this anime I was excited, I had lots of expectations from this anime. Because I am into time travel stories, it is very intriguing to me. I will watch any kind of show if it has time traveling.

Isn't it obvious? Who does not like this time of story? It's upto my taste and within a day I have finished watching season 1. Season 1 is about how Takemichi changes himself for the better which he could not do in the past time.

The struggle of Takemichi is relatable and very authentic. I could feel myself in his shoes, and I must say he is really a brave protagonist. Even though he is a weakling, he is very courageous. He does know when to give up. In the future time he had given up already but in the past time he does not allow himself to give up.

Through time he has improved himself and he's a protagonist people can look upto. He is truly an inspiring character after Eren Yeager. Actually no one is good as Eren Yeager but Takemichi is truly a deserving protagonist.

The story is mind bending as Death Note, there is too much of conspiracy and plannings. The viewers can not guess what will happen next because this anime will make a fool out of you if you try to guess.

Everything happens in the story is unexpected and that's make it truly gripping. I felt like I am addicted to this anime, I have finished other seasons as well and waiting for the new season. I could not resist so, I have watched all of the seasons. But currently I am trying to review season 1 without any spoilers.

If you continue watching it, you will get addicted. Each episode is captivating. Takemichi's character will teach you to be strong and always stand for the right things in life no matter what, he will teach you to be fearless.

I think the author should increase the physical strength of Takemichi because I feel as a protagonist he should be not overpowered but at least he should blow some punches which can make someone fall. I think other characters are given chance to showcase their power.

But Takemichi in fight is the weakest of them all. I really want to see some improvements in him. As his personality grows, I want his physical strength to grow as well.

Maybe there's a reason for not letting him look powerful maybe the characters will have no meaning to exist if he's already powerful. I can understand it, but still at least make the protagonist fight as well. My only complain about this anime is that the protagonist does not know how to fight.

I would like to see some violent actions by Takemichi and want to the see the new him. I hope one day he will be able to save his lover and everyone as well. As everything is connected with each other.

The animation is really good, also the fighting scenes are amazingly done. I have enjoyed their fights the most it was giving me goosebumps.
