A Lesson from Failure: Taking Two Steps Back to Jump Higher
When I was in middle school, I failed a grade for the first time. I felt like a total failure, and disappointment washed over me. I truly believed that my journey had come to an end.
However, a conversation with my teacher changed my entire perspective. He noticed my grief and said:
"If there is a ditch in front of you and you try to jump without being prepared, you will fall. But if you step back a few paces, you gather the momentum needed to leap across."
Those words stayed with me. I realized that my failure wasn't the end; it was just me stepping back to gather energy. Don't let your first mistake become a dark shadow in your life. Instead, treat it as the very first step toward your victory.
