Giants, Angels, and Star Beings: The Bible’s Hidden Ties to Extraterrestrials
For thousands of years, sacred texts like the Bible have been read for spiritual guidance. But what if there’s more hidden between the lines—messages of otherworldly contact, cosmic visitors, and ancient star beings? In recent decades, scholars, mystics, and alternative historians have started re-reading these ancient texts with new eyes. And what they’ve found is nothing short of fascinating.
From giants known as the Nephilim to heavenly chariots in the sky, the Bible is filled with mysterious stories that sound strangely like extraterrestrial encounters. Could these ancient scriptures describe contact with beings from other worlds, like the Pleiadians or other interstellar races?
Let’s journey through the pages of the Bible—starting with the Book of Enoch and ending with the prophetic visions of Ezekiel—and uncover the stories that hint at something far beyond this world.
1. The Book of Enoch – The Watchers and the Nephilim
Though not included in most modern Bibles, the Book of Enoch was once widely known and even referenced in the Book of Jude (Jude 1:14-15). This ancient text gives a detailed account of a group of celestial beings known as the Watchers, who descended from the heavens and took human wives. Their union produced hybrid children—the legendary Nephilim, described as giants and beings of immense power.
“And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants... whose height was three hundred cubits.”
— Book of Enoch 7:2
These beings were not simply taller humans—they were something else entirely. They were known for their great knowledge and destructive nature. Enoch describes the Watchers as glowing, radiant beings who descended in fiery crafts, and taught humanity the secrets of the heavens, metals, herbology, magic, and warfare.
Could these Watchers be extraterrestrial visitors—possibly even from the Pleiades or another star system—intervening in early human history?
2. Genesis 6 – The Sons of God and the Nephilim
This same story appears briefly in Genesis 6, where we read:
“The sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose... The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them.”
— Genesis 6:2–4
The phrase “sons of God” (Hebrew: bene ha-elohim) is often interpreted as referring to divine or celestial beings. Their interaction with humans and the creation of the Nephilim has baffled theologians for centuries. Why would divine beings breed with humans unless they were physical entities capable of reproduction?
This sounds eerily like genetic experimentation—a concept frequently tied to ancient astronaut theories. Many believe these “sons of God” were extraterrestrial beings, and the Nephilim may have been hybrids—a blend of human and alien DNA.
3. Ezekiel’s Vision – A UFO in the Old Testament?
Perhaps the most dramatic description of a possible extraterrestrial encounter in the Bible comes from the prophet Ezekiel.
“I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal...”
— Ezekiel 1:4
What Ezekiel describes goes far beyond symbolic religious imagery. He sees wheels within wheels, living beings with multiple wings and eyes, and machinery that seems to move intelligently and independently.
Many researchers—including former NASA engineer Josef F. Blumrich, who wrote The Spaceships of Ezekiel—believe this is a literal description of a flying craft. The “glowing metal” and “fire” sound suspiciously like rocket propulsion, and the “wheels within wheels” may represent gyroscopic or anti-gravity technology.
Ezekiel goes on to say that he heard the voice of someone speaking from above the throne on the craft—perhaps the commander or pilot. Was Ezekiel witnessing a UFO landing, guided by a highly advanced extraterrestrial being?
4. The Pleiades in the Bible – A Subtle Nod to the Stars
Interestingly, the Bible does mention the Pleiades by name—a star cluster in the Taurus constellation long associated with otherworldly beings in mythologies across the world.
“Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades? Can you loosen Orion’s belt?”
— Job 38:31
This poetic line from the Book of Job has sparked centuries of speculation. Why would God specifically name the Pleiades and Orion—two of the most prominent and mysterious star groups in the night sky? Ancient traditions from the Maya, Egyptians, and even Indigenous Australians all speak of beings from the Pleiades who guided or created humanity.
Is it possible that the biblical reference to the Pleiades is more than just poetic? Could it be an echo of ancient contact—acknowledging the stars as the home of the “gods” who once walked among us?
5. Elijah and the Fiery Chariot – Beam Me Up?
In 2 Kings 2, the prophet Elijah is taken up to the heavens in a chariot of fire:
“Suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.”
— 2 Kings 2:11
This is not a metaphor for death—Elijah doesn’t die. He is physically taken, body and all, into the sky. This story sounds like a classic abduction or ascension scenario, possibly involving a spacecraft described in ancient language.
Elijah’s ascension is mirrored later in the New Testament when Jesus himself is said to ascend into the clouds after the resurrection. Were both of these events literal lift-offs, described in terms ancient witnesses could understand?
6. The Transfiguration and “Bright Beings”
In Matthew 17, during the Transfiguration of Jesus, something strange occurs:
“His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light... Suddenly a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love.’”
This “bright cloud” is accompanied by shining beings (Moses and Elijah), descending from another realm. Clouds that talk, emit light, and cause fear in the witnesses? Could this be another craft or manifestation of non-human intelligences, overseeing and guiding key figures in human history?
Conclusion: Ancient Contact Hidden in Plain Sight?
The Bible, when read with open eyes and a mystical mind, is filled with stories that sound like extraterrestrial encounters:
The Watchers of Enoch descending in fiery ships.
The Nephilim, born of interstellar unions.
Ezekiel’s craft, glowing with fire and metal.
Elijah’s chariot, lifting him into the sky.
The Pleiades, mentioned as if they hold cosmic significance.
It seems the line between angels and aliens, between visions and visitations, might be thinner than we’ve believed. Could the gods of the Bible, like those of Sumer and Egypt, have been beings from the stars, remembered through ancient eyes?
We may never know for certain. But the stories endure—whispers from our ancestors, encoded in sacred texts, waiting to be rediscovered in the light of a new age of understanding.
The stars may hold the key… and the answers might be already written in the Book.
