Rip Tony Todd. Final Destination Bloodlines (2025) || Movie Review.

I saw the trailer of this movie last year and was immediately intrigued and eager to watch it. After seeing the movie, I have just one word for it - brutal! Also, this movie was a little nostalgic for me because it was dedicated to Tony Todd.
He was one of my favorite actors. Seeing him in this movie brought back a lot of memories and I couldn't help but be emotional. Some of his movies I remember Candyman (1992), Platoon (1986), The Crow (1994), and many more. His death was a loss to Hollywood and he would be missed especially because of his distinct voice, and iconic horror roles.
Final Destination Bloodlines (2025) is a supernatural horror film distributed by Warner Bros., directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein. It was written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. Incidentally, it's the sixth installment in the Final Destination film series but you can watch and understand this movie without seeing the previous movies.
It starred Tony Todd as William John Bludworth along with, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore and Brec Bassinger.

Set in 1969, Iris Campbell and her boyfriend, Paul attend the grand opening of the Sky View restaurant. Iris had a premonition that everyone present at the opening died because a boy took a coin from wish fountain. It was bad luck to take a coin from the wish fountain. She quickly warned the guests and that prevents catastrophy and the loss of lives. It turned out that Iris had disrupted Death’s plan.

Some years later, Stefani, her granddaughter began to have terrifying dreams about the incident. She returned home, met Iris who tried to convince her that Death was on a spree, killing all those who attended the restaurant opening and their descendants. Right before her eyes, Iris was impaled and died. Is Stefani strong enough to disrupt Death’s moves like her grandmother? Can she save her family from horrifying accidents and death?
My Review And Rating
As humans, we are conscious of living but also conscious of death. We are often plagued with the question - when will our time run out? In this gripping horror mystery, the directors paced the movie in a way that every scene feels like a ticking towards the ultimate end.
The plot is interesting and reflective, focusing on whether the characters can outsmart death which realistically is what many people try to do. There are many death traps and scary scenes that jolt me out of my seat. The storytelling is unique. First, we see the premonition through Iris’ eyes and later through Stefani’s view, there are plot twists that leave us shocked.

The acting is quite good. It's nice to watch Tony Todd’s last performance. Though he had less screen time, his presence in the movie was compelling. While other characters tried to escape death, he encouraged them to enjoy living and embrace death whenever it came. Kaitlyn Santa Juana played Stefani very well. She was convincing as a lead character.
The death scenes are gory, scary and inhumane. Death is portrayed as this omniscient presence, hiding in the shadows yet collecting its dues whenever it wanted. Its interesting to watch the characters plan and make efforts to escape death. They always get a moment of respite, like they are finally free and its at that moment, death strikes in a shocking way. There's no escaping death, it always had the last laugh.
The cinematography is well done. The edits, transitions and graphics are smooth and gripping. I love that the movie is fast paced, action-packed and kind of chaotic all through from the beginning to the end.
Rating this movie, I will give it 7.5 stars out of 10. Its a fascinating final movie in the series. The death scenes are scary and pumps the adrenaline. The plot twists had me on the edge of my seat. Its a movie worth watching for horror/mystery fans.

I haven't seen the latest installment of this movie yet, but if it's like the previous ones, it will surely keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time, besides, from what you've said, it's really good.
