The Bible Peddles Fear-Mongering Lies About Psychics

1.  The Bible's Defamatory Speculation Regarding Psychics

I know that a number of people are not going to take my perspective on the Bible's viewpoint regarding psychics very kindly. However, this one issue has me so furious that I feel as though my blood is coagulating each and every time I hear some Bible thumper run their mouth about psychics in an offensive manner.

Recently an elderly family member of mine lost a hearing aid. She had never left her bedroom before she had lost it. Therefore, after I offered to help her find it, I searched everywhere for where it could have been; but I kept coming up bone dry. It angered me so much that I discussed with her the possibility of using a psychic to track it down. After all, this hearing aid was worth $150.00, which is money that she did not readily have to replace it.

After I began surfing around on the Internet in search of a reputable psychic who specialized in the location of missing items, all of this crap appeared on my computer screen about how the church condemns psychics as conduits of the devil and demons. What a bunch of sick puppies. No, I'm not describing psychics but rather Bible thumpers.

Well, I have a mouthful to say about this same topic, and it's not in favor of the Christian faith. I've known for a long time that the Bible strongly condemns psychics, mediums, and fortune tellers as detestable sins, idolatry, and forbidden occult activity, but it doesn't mean that the Bible is right.

Verses of the Bible attack psychics as getting their gifted abilities from Satan and demons. However, there are also a number of verses in the Bible that condone rape, murder, and slavery.

As an agnostic, I place no stock in the Scriptures in any event, but I get so sick and tired of these Christian fundamentalists and the likes shoving their beliefs down my throat about psychics when their attacks against them are defamatory at best. None of what they say has any basis in fact, and they have provided no actual proof that psychics have any connection with the devil or demons, if they actually exist.

Of course, I dismiss Satan and demons as nothing more than mythological creatures that were concocted in the minds of deranged and deluded individuals, who were most likely herdsmen. I do not believe in the existence of demons and devils any more than I believe in the existence of goblins, ghouls, leprechauns, and elves.

If you look at the history of the Bible, you will find that it contains numerous inconsistencies in its contents. There have even been verses that have been deleted from the Bible.

According to Bill Maher, the Bible was published a substantial period of time after the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Its authors never revealed their identities. Therefore, how could it ever be completely accurate, if at all? It's all a sham, and it's time that people open their eyes to that same fact.

Religious fanatics and religious extremists will obsess over Satan and Hell insofar as they will make up stories about them. Therefore, why should any of us give their word of honor any credence? They're mentally unhinged people that are clueless about reality.

Every atheist, agnostic, and even misotheist can tell you how irate they feel whenever a religious fanatic goes rambling on about how psychics get their gifted talents from the devil, yet these Bible thumpers can never seem to come up with actual evidence that this is true. As far as I know, no demon has ever popped out of the ground while a psychic was tracking down a missing item.

Now, you ask me what a misotheist is. That is someone who hates God. That person doesn't necessarily have to believe in God or the existence of God, but he or she can simply hate what the whole concept of God stands for.

My response to misotheists is that Christian fundamentalists falsely accusing psychics of being in league with the devil or demons gives these same misotheists more reasons to hate God and the entire institution of religion for that matter.

Falsely accusing a psychic of getting their gifted abilities from the devil is no different from falsely accusing a piano player from getting their musical talents from some fictional, fairy-tale demonic entity. It's intellectually decadent and insulting to their critical thinking.

There is one point upon which all atheists, agnostics, and misotheists can agree. If God really does exist, then there is one majorly deplorable characteristic, among many, about him. That is, if he doesn't stick it to you one way, he'll find another way to stick it to you, because that's God. I trust psychics and mediums much more than I could ever trust a church minister.

If someone is searching for something they direly need to find in their residence or anywhere, why are they going to refrain from using psychic abilities they may have to please a god that they don't love and have never seen? They shouldn't.

If God doesn't like anyone using psychic abilities because of their alleged connection with the devil and demons, why doesn't he simply zap those powers back from the devil and the demons to himself? It's as though he wants everyone to suffer the consequences of not having access to something they desperately need and should never have lost in the first place.

2.  Biblical Verses About Psychics

Let's examine those same Biblical verses that speak so ill of psychics and the likes. I can debunk each and every one of them in a heartbeat.

What really infuriates me about these same verses is that whenever anyone challenges the Bible by pointing out verses in it that condone rape, murder, and human trafficking, these religious extremists will insist that such verses should not be taken literally but rather metaphorically. On the other hand, whenever anyone challenges the verses in the Bible that denounce psychics as conduits of demonic powers, these same Bible thumpers will insist that such verses be interpreted literally.

Any of you religious extremists out there? I don't mean to rain on your parade, but you don't get to have your cake and eat it too. If verses in the Bible condoning rape, murder, and all forms of slavery are to be taken metaphorically, then why can't Biblical verses about psychics and the likes be taken metaphorically as well? My response is to discount the Bible altogether as a book of hatred and deception rather than any kind of historical tome.

In the Bible, Deuteronomy 18:10–12 reads:

Let no one be found among you who . . . practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells . . . Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.

Really? I thought that sorcerers only existed in storybook tales about fire-breathing dragons and knights in shining armor who rescue princesses from evil giants like in the movie Camelot. I've come across a number of people who proclaim themselves to be psychics in different forums throughout my life, but I've never even seen a sorcerer on television except in movies and other television shows that promote fiction.

When I was a little kid, many religions appeared to favor astrology. Could it have been wackos like the late Reverend Pat Robertson and the late Reverend Jerry Falwell that turned it all into a demonic thing in their minds? Both of these men were far from being good people. They implied that 9/11 back in 2001 was a well-deserved tragedy.

Supposedly, this same verse is describing psychics and tarot card readers as well. Tarot cards are not going to hurt anyone any more than a regular deck of cards will do so, although I don't really have much interest in them. However, if God is condemning psychics, then he's the one who is detestable to humanity. That is, if he really does exist.

The reasons that psychics have the ability to read minds, see the future, and track down missing items are obviously connected with some form of science rather than demonology. Otherwise, many of them wouldn't be doing such good deeds for society. They have nothing to do with witches, which brings me to my next point.

Religious fanatics' obsession with witchcraft and witches was what led to the wrongful execution of innocent women back during the Salem Witch trials. Many horrendous acts have been done in the name of the Bible, including wars, torture, death, and destruction. This is why we cannot trust the Bible for any facts. None of its contents has been verified beyond a shadow of a doubt. There are way too many inconsistencies in it to view it otherwise.

If you have psychic powers or you have consulted with a psychic to find a missing item, you don't have to apologize to God for it. There's nothing to apologize for, because you've done nothing wrong. Of course, I doubt the existence of God, so I'm not going to be apologizing to him for anything.

Who created Satan, if he does exist? God did. Therefore, even if these religious fanatics wish to argue that psychic abilities come from Satan or any other demon, at the end of the day, they come from God, if he does exist. If psychics are using their powers for the greater good, why does Satan or any other demon have to have ill intentions in allowing humans to utilize them? Perhaps they're trying to work their way back into heaven.

Psychics have been known to track down missing children. To any Christian reading my article, here's a pressing question. Does the Satan that you know of in the Bible set out to reunite children with their loved ones? I mean, this is the same entity that you claim burns and tortures souls for all eternity. You'll probably say no.

Well, perhaps there is no Satan; and if he doesn't exist, then psychics don't get their gifted abilities from him or from any demons. Chew on that for a while.

If you have lost something important and it is a matter of life or death to find it, you should not hesitate to use your psychic abilities if you have them. If Christians can argue that those abilities come from the devil and demons, then God is the one who screwed up in giving those powers to the devil and to demons. Humanity should not have to pay for God's screw-ups, especially when he likely doesn't even exist.

In the Bible, Leviticus 19:31 reads:

Don’t turn to psychics or mediums to get help. That will make you unclean. I am the Lord your God.

This is a load of crap. Men of the cloth who sexually molest and rape children make their victims unclean. The reason that Christian fundamentalists will peddle their lies that psychics get their gifted abilities from Satan or other demons is quite obvious.

The evangelical industry and the Catholic Church are both infested with pedophiles and child molesters within the ranks of their clergy, and church ministers who rape 5-, 6-, and 7-year-old kids are terrified of psychics inasmuch as they know that they can expose them to the authorities. Therefore, you can only expect church ministers to accuse them of being in league with the devil or demons.

If a psychic detects that a pedophile priest is raping a toddler, then you know that he or she is likely going to attempt to gather evidence against that minister and turn him into the police. That church minister may scream from the top of his lungs that this same psychic is doing the devil's work, but, hey, that psychic could rightfully turn around and tell that minister that that same minister is doing the devil's work by raping children.

Religion has become a major scam throughout the United States, and we all need to realize it. Watch the video below, and you'll see what I mean.

The Brutal Facts About Religion And Its Deceiving Nature

Religious extremists hate science, because it's always proving them to be wrong. If scientists were to pinpoint what scientific reasons could be behind psychic abilities, religious extremists would probably accuse them of being Satanists. They have no ability to engage in critical thinking, because the Bible they so idolize breeds ignorance and stupidity.

Another video I stumbled across provides the brutal facts about religion and the Bible in that it is the longest running scam in the history of our planet. This same video can be found below.

The Bible Is The Product Of A Fairy Tale That Has No Place In Modern Society

Psychics are not an abomination to God as the Scripture claims. God is an abomination to all humanity, because he's a wheeler and dealer and a deceiver; and there is no scientific proof of his existence.

Denzel Washington once starred in a science-fiction movie titled The Book of Eli. The setting of that film was in a post-apocalyptic world. One of the mainly discussed events in the movie was that droves of people had blamed the collapse of civilization on religion, and, therefore, they had burned almost every copy of the Bible. I'm sure they had their reasons.

There was once an influencer on YouTube who got a number of other YouTubers outraged after he burned a Bible on camera. Hmmmm. Perhaps if such a thing were to happen in mass numbers, it would be the best thing that could ever happen to the world.

3.  Final Thoughts

Ladies and gentlemen? I'm well aware that psychics comprise a multi-million dollar business and that among them, there is a whole host of fraudsters, flimflam artists, and the likes. However, I strongly contend that there are fewer psychics that are scam artists than there are church ministers that are ones.

Let's throw the Bible under the bus whenever we search for answers about psychics or anything else, and let's look to the science for answers instead. Below is a video about the science behind psychics.

Scientific Experiments Have Suggested That Psychics Are Real

When the Russian Federation was still the Soviet Union and religion was banned from the public arena there, scientific experiments involving psychic abilities flourished in that nation inasmuch as they got no interference from religious extremists who ran the danger of arrest and incarceration. I may be no fan of communism, but it did have its advantages with respect to silencing the religious right.

If you want to know the real deal about psychics, then you're better off relying on information from experiments conducted at the Stanford Research Institute rather than religious sermons from Liberty University. Now, I'm not here to trash all religion. I completely understand that there are people out there who find solace in religious worship and prayer, and I say more power to them.

Nevertheless, if you're a religious extremist who is going to come flying at me with fairy tales about demons and devils giving psychic powers to ordinary people based upon some book that was created thousands of years ago in a world that no longer exists today, you can expect for there to be pushback. I will be one of those people who give you pushback for it.

I will not subscribe to fear-mongering falsehoods from the Bible or from anyone whose defamatory rhetoric about psychics is Christian Fascist propaganda at best. I rely on facts rather than on theology.

I used to perform translation and interpretation with foreign languages. The Bible is a translation into English, and I can tell you right up front that words and thoughts can get lost in translation. Somebody involved in the making and translation of the Bible definitely got the origins of psychic abilities all wrong.

If God really does exist and psychics get their gifted abilities from the devil, then God is the devil. Otherwise, it's better to let science determine what gives people psychic abilities instead of the church.

If anyone believes that I'm going to Hell merely for publishing this article, well, then I have one thing to say to you. There is no such place as Hell, so there's no danger of that. The Bible is equally as fictional in its contents as the Necronomicon is. At best the Bible is a book of superstition.
